Preventative strategies are an important part of his practice, with emphasises on maintaining an appropriate exercise program for both physical and psychological benefits.
Tim has worked previously with Richmond Football Club (2007-2002) and as Chief Medical Officer to Athletics Australia (2003-2008), being Team Doctor to National Teams for two Olympic campaigns, two World Championships and the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. During his tenure he also served on the Athletics Australia Anti Doping Commission.
In late 2007 he became Medical Officer to the St Kilda Football Club, a position he held fondly until recently stepping down at the completion of the 2025 season.
Tim works closely with a broad network of specialists and allied health practitioners, and enjoys working with his colleagues in the multidisciplinary settings offered through both Bayside and in his separate work at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre.
Please note that these are separately run clinics and as such, making an appointment must be made through the individual practice. Follow-up should be carried out through the same clinic, unless specifically discussed. The need for more prompt consultation should be discussed through reception at each respective clinic.
Tim has extensive experience in the use of Ultrasound for assessment and management of injuries, incorporating injection therapies such as corticosteroid and PRP. It is planned to expand these services at the Bayside rooms in coming months.
Please note that a valid GP or medical specialist referral is required by clinic administrative staff before an appointment can be made.
